Privacy Policy

This page explains what BondScore collects, why we collect it, and how we protect your data — including voice memories and AI features.

Last updated: June 6, 2026

1. Introduction

BondScore ("we", "our", "us") helps you be more intentional about the relationships that matter to you. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect through the BondScore mobile app and website, why we collect it, and how we protect it.

BondScore is intended only for users aged 18 and over. By using BondScore you confirm that you are at least 18 years old.

This policy applies globally and is designed in accordance with:

  • General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
  • California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA)
  • Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA)

2. Data We Collect

We collect only the data needed to provide and improve the service.

Account data

  • Email address
  • Display name
  • Password (stored securely in encrypted form — we never see your raw password)

Relationship & bond data

  • Information you choose to add about the people and relationships you track
  • Notes, check-ins, reflections, and activity you log in the app

Voice & memory data

  • Microphone audio you record when capturing a voice memory
  • Transcripts and memory text produced from that audio

Analytics & technical data

  • Usage and interaction data, associated with your account
  • Device and technical information such as device type, OS version, and IP address

3. Why We Collect It

We use each category of data for a specific purpose:

  • Account data — to create your account, sign you in, and manage your settings
  • Relationship & bond data — to provide the core features of the app
  • Voice & memory data — to transcribe and save the memories you capture
  • Analytics & technical data — to understand usage, improve the product, and keep it secure

4. Voice & Audio

BondScore lets you capture memories by voice. We only access your microphone when you start a voice memory, and only after you grant permission.

When you record a voice memory:

  • The audio is sent to a third-party provider for transcription
  • The raw audio is processed only to produce a transcript and is not stored on our servers
  • The resulting transcript and memory text are saved to your account

You can delete any memory at any time, which removes it from your account.

5. AI Features

Some features use a third-party AI provider to process your content and generate results such as transcripts, summaries, and suggestions. To do this, relevant content (which may include your transcripts, notes, and relationship details) is sent to that provider to return your results.

Your data is not used to train the AI provider's models, and we do not use your personal data to train our own models.

6. Third-Party Services

We use a small number of trusted service providers to operate BondScore, including:

  • A cloud hosting and database provider (to store your data and run the service)
  • An AI processing provider (for transcription and AI features)
  • An analytics provider (to understand product usage)

These providers process data only on our behalf and under appropriate agreements. We do not sell your data or share it for advertising.

7. Data Storage & Security

We protect your data with industry-standard measures:

  • Data is encrypted at rest
  • All data in transit is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS
  • Access to your data is restricted to you and authorized service providers

Your data may be processed in countries outside your own (for example, the United States or Europe) by our service providers. We rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers.

8. Data Retention

We keep your data only as long as needed:

  • Account, relationship, and memory data — retained until you delete it or delete your account
  • Voice audio — not retained after transcription
  • Analytics data — retained for a limited period in line with our providers' standard policies

9. Account Deletion

You can delete your account directly in the app from Profile → Delete Account.

Deleting your account permanently removes your data, including your relationships, memories, notes, and account details. This action is irreversible.

If you need help deleting your account or data, contact us at:

privacy@bondsc0re.com
