Terms of Use
These Terms explain what you can expect from BondScore, what we expect from you, and how disputes are handled.
Effective date: August 23, 2026
1. Introduction
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of BondScore, a relationship-planning and memory service operated by Roho in Germany ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using BondScore (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You may use the Service only if you can enter into a binding agreement under the law that applies to you. If you cannot do so on your own, a parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these Terms for you. The Service is not designed for children.
You must provide accurate account information, keep your credentials confidential, and promptly tell us if you suspect unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless applicable law provides otherwise.
3. What BondScore does
BondScore helps you privately organize relationships, plan and log activities, save memories, and receive automated suggestions.
Relationship scores, status labels, decay indicators, and suggestions are simplified organizational tools based on information entered into the Service. They are not scientific measurements, diagnoses, or objective judgments about a person or relationship, and they should not replace communication or professional advice.
4. Your content
You retain ownership of notes, recordings, memories, relationship information, and other material you submit ("Your Content"). You give us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, copy, transmit, transform, and otherwise process Your Content only as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, maintain, and troubleshoot the Service, comply with law, and exercise the rights described in these Terms and the Privacy Policy. This license ends when the relevant content is deleted, subject to lawful retention, backups, and technical deletion cycles described in the Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for Your Content and for ensuring that you have the rights, permissions, notices, consents, and other lawful basis needed to collect, record, upload, and use it. Do not upload information that you are prohibited from handling or that is unnecessary for your use of the Service.
5. Information about other people and recordings
The Service lets you keep private information about other people. You must respect their privacy, confidentiality, intellectual-property, employment, and other rights. Do not use the Service for covert monitoring, harassment, discrimination, stalking, profiling for unlawful purposes, or automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
Recording laws differ by location. Before recording or uploading anyone's voice or conversation, you must provide any required notice and obtain every consent required by the laws that apply to all participants. If you are unsure, do not record. You must not submit highly sensitive information about another person unless you are authorized to do so and it is genuinely necessary.
6. AI, transcription, and generated material
The Service may use automated systems and third-party processors to transcribe recordings, extract facts, summarize context, or suggest actions. Outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, outdated, or inappropriate. Always review them against the original information before relying on, sharing, or acting on them.
Generated material is provided for general organizational assistance. It is not legal, medical, mental-health, employment, financial, or other professional advice. You remain responsible for your communications, judgments, and decisions, including decisions concerning another person.
7. Acceptable use
You must not, and must not help anyone else to:
- break the law or violate another person's rights
- upload malicious code or content you are not authorized to use
- harass, threaten, discriminate against, surveil, or impersonate another person
- gain unauthorized access to the Service, another account, or connected systems
- interfere with security, availability, rate limits, or normal operation
- scrape, resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service except with our written permission
- reverse engineer the Service except to the extent applicable law expressly permits it
- use the Service or its outputs to train a competing model or service without our written permission
8. Privacy and security
Our Privacy Policy explains what information we process, why we process it, which service providers receive it, and how retention and deletion work. Please read it together with these Terms.
No online service can guarantee absolute security or uninterrupted availability. Use reasonable care when deciding what to store, keep your device and account secure, and maintain your own copy of information you cannot afford to lose.
9. Our service and intellectual property
We and our licensors retain all rights in the Service, including its software, design, branding, and documentation. Except for the limited right to use the Service under these Terms and the applicable app-store license, no rights are transferred to you. If you send feedback, you permit us to use it without restriction or payment, but you are not required to provide feedback.
10. Third-party services
The Service depends on third-party hosting, authentication, analytics, transcription, and AI providers. Their availability and processing may affect the Service. When a third party provides a separate feature or destination directly to you, its own terms may also apply. We remain responsible where applicable law says we cannot transfer that responsibility.
11. Fees
The Service is currently offered without a subscription or in-app purchase. We will not charge you without clearly presenting the price and obtaining the agreement required by law. If paid digital features are introduced in an iOS app, Apple's purchasing and refund rules will apply where required. Any future paid terms will be disclosed before purchase and will not retroactively create a charge.
12. Changes to the Service
We may improve, replace, restrict, or discontinue features. For a change that materially reduces an ongoing paid service or materially affects your rights, we will provide reasonable advance notice when practicable and any remedy required by law. We may make urgent changes without advance notice to address security, abuse, legal, or technical risks.
13. Suspension, termination, and deletion
You may stop using the Service at any time and may delete your account through the Profile screen. Account deletion is intended to be permanent and may make Your Content unrecoverable after applicable retention and backup periods.
We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect users or the Service, investigate suspected misuse, comply with law, or address a material breach of these Terms. When appropriate, we will give notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue. We may terminate access for a serious or repeated breach. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including ownership, disclaimers, liability, and disputes — will survive.
14. Warranties and disclaimers
We will provide the Service with reasonable care and skill. Subject to that commitment and any rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not promise that it will always be available, secure, error-free, or suitable for every purpose, or that generated material will be accurate. Nothing in these Terms limits a statutory guarantee or other mandatory consumer right that applies to you.
15. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when these Terms were accepted, or for indirect or consequential losses. We are not responsible for loss caused by your unlawful use, failure to secure your account, failure to review generated material, or submission of content without the required rights or consent.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, intentional misconduct, gross negligence where applicable, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or mandatory consumer-protection obligations. If you use the Service as a consumer, these Terms do not limit the remedies available to you under mandatory law.
16. Apple App Store
If you download the app from Apple's App Store, Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement governs the license to the app unless App Store Connect identifies a custom EULA. These Terms govern the related Service and Your Content. If the two conflict regarding the app license, the applicable Apple EULA controls. Apple is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for the Service, support, or claims concerning it except as the EULA expressly states.
17. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the law that would apply without a contractual choice-of-law clause. Any court proceedings may be brought in a court having jurisdiction under applicable law. If you are a consumer, nothing in these Terms deprives you of mandatory protections or access to courts available in the country where you habitually reside.
Before starting formal proceedings, you and we may try in good faith to resolve the issue by email. This informal step is voluntary and does not delay or restrict either party's legal rights, limitation periods, emergency remedies, or access to a regulator or consumer-protection body. These Terms do not require arbitration and do not waive participation in a class or representative action where such participation is permitted by law.
18. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Service, law, security, or our business. We will post the updated text with a new effective date. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide additional notice when required and will request renewed agreement where the law requires it. Changes do not apply retroactively unless required by law or expressly agreed.
19. General
If a provision is unenforceable, it will be applied to the maximum lawful extent and the remaining provisions will continue. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer your account or these Terms without our consent, but this does not restrict rights that cannot be restricted by law. We may transfer these Terms as part of a reorganization or sale only in a way that does not reduce mandatory consumer rights.
